Note: IN PERSON CLASSES: Materials will be received at class. Please bring two pens/pencils, a nut free snack, water bottle and indoor shoes in wet weather. ONLINE CLASSES ONLY: Books and cards will be mailed out 2 weeks before class. Please consider this when choosing your online training date or please come pick your book up if you choose a date with shorter lead time. Zoom links are at the bottom of your receipt. Please click the Course Verification link to confirm receipt and save for use the day of class. Please ensure your students has the workbook, pen/pencil, and markers or crayons for class. Please ensure an adult is available to assist your child when needed.
Detailed course description:
Dealing with anger can be a challenge. Explosive physical or emotional outbursts may result when a child can’t access words to express thoughts and feelings. Anger is a healthy emotion, and expressing feelings in creative, positive ways makes life more enjoyable. As children age, begin school, or become active in community programs, life gets busy, and these demands may generate strong feelings. Participants will engage in games, activities, stories, games, and role playing to explore and practice identifying their own anger triggers, body symptoms, and positive options to express feelings. Please note: Children under six cannot be registered in this course.
